Ever since I was little, I’ve loved telling stories. The words we choose and how we wield them says everything about who we are and what we want. I’ve been involved in creative writing all my life, but starting in 2022 I began writing grants and communications for the non-profit space.
In my first two years of grant writing, I raised over 4 million dollars through a combination of federal, state, and foundation grants. I specialize in the kind of concise language that will help you stick to those tricky word counts. I enjoy the challenge.
I’ve also begun writing blogs and social media posts for non-profits, where I use my background in education to help your donors and clients learn about the issues important to you.

Areas of Expertise
Arts
I’ve been an active participant in the arts community, specifically theater, since I was 13. I have worked with the Kentucky Shakespeare Company, the Dayton Playhouse, Shakespeare in the Heights, and many other theaters.
Education
With a Master’s of Education from Xavier University, and as a former high school English teacher, I am fully equipped to speak and write about education, and have done so for numerous grants.
Environmental
I have successfully written over a dozen grants funding the operations of a large urban garden, including for their hydroponic greenhouse and composting operations.
Health & Human Services
For over two years I wrote grants exclusively for a food bank that serves three counties in Ohio, securing hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding for their various programs supporting children, the elderly, and all families in need.
LGBTQIA+ Rights
I serve on the Q+ Health Alliance in Montgomery County, Ohio, supporting my queer community and educating about issues related to our wellness.
